Italian style!
Gelato and sorbetto are ice cream and sorbet
made in the culinary traditions of Italy. Using
local and natural ingredients, our gelato contains
roughly half the fat of traditional ice
cream. Because it is whipped so slowly on
imported equipment designed specifically for
the job, far less air is incorporated into the finished
product, making gelato and sorbetto
much more dense than their American cousins.
The resulting frozen confection is the rare
treat: luscious rich flavors, far less fat.
Intense Flavor
When gelato is served at its ideal temperature
of about 5°F to 10°F, your taste buds won’t be
numbed by the cold. This and the fact that our
gelato contains about 75% less air than typical
ice cream combine to let our wholesome flavors
shine!
Authentic
At the core of everything we do is the guiding
principle that we remain true to the artisan tradition
of gelato production. Passion for the art
and science of frozen dessert is what drives us.
Low in Fat
Firenze’s gelato flavors range from 4% to 7%
fat content, our sorbetto flavors have even
less. Compare this with 10% to 16% fat content
in traditional ice cream. Firenze gelato is a
unique pleasure indeed.
